11 September 2021 – During this lockdown, I have been making bald caps at home and was getting a bit bored with them, and tried to find different things and ways to work with them. I came across a tutorial from Goldiestarling, who I admire and she mentioned colouring bald caps and that she made a finger wave one for a project. I couldn’t find anymore info on how she did that, so I set about experimenting. I used cotton wool and latex to layer up the hair look and mixed the black acrylic paint with latex for the last layer.
I liked the retro look of another tutorial she has, with the black finger wave bald cap and the teal coloured face makeup and recreated it in my own style.
