MAKEUP ARTIST – WORK EXPERIENCE AUCKLAND MUSIC THEATER- THAT BLOODY WOMAN
For the last three weeks, I had the pleasure of helping out behind the scenes of the show That Bloody Woman, by the Auckland Music Theater. It was so much fun, and nice to get acquainted with the cast over the last few weeks.

That Bloody Woman is a rock musical that tells the story of Suffragist, activist and cyclist Kate Sheppard and her fight to get women the vote. We witness not only Kate’s lengthy and at times very difficult political struggle, but also her personal journey and the sacrifices and challenges she faced along the way. This is more than history, this is HER story.
Blending musical styles from punk rock to heart-rending ballad, That Bloody Woman is a fast-paced rollercoaster, mixing humour and irreverence, tragedy and adversity, and triumph.
My duties included:
- Apply theatre style make-up to cast members as per instructions and face charts
- Help with hair styling as needed as per instructions
- Touch up during intermission as needed
